Kodak commercial
The NAHEMI/Kodak Commercial Awards is a competition for student filmmakers to make a 30 second commercial from one roll of 400ft negative film stock.
Working on a Kodak film camera was a completely new and exciting experience for all of us. Unlike digital, shooting on film meant every shot had to be planned and executed perfectly because there was no room for endless retakes. It made me appreciate the precision and care that goes into traditional filmmaking. Seeing how the textures and colors looked on film was incredible—it added a richness and authenticity that really brought the set and props to life.
As the production designer, I loved creating a cozy, welcoming kitchen setting that made the pasties feel like the perfect meal to enjoy at home. This project taught me so much about teamwork, problem-solving, and the power of visuals in telling a story. It was such a rewarding experience, and I’m proud of the role I played in bringing it all together.
